why one writes

“Why does one begin to write? Because she feels misunderstood, I guess. Because it never comes out clearly enough when she tries to speak. Because she wants to rephrase the world, to take it in and give it back again differently, so that everything is used and nothing is lost. Because it's something to do to pass the time until she is old enough to experience the things she writes about.”
- 'The History of Love' by Nicole Krauss

ONE OF my childhood dreams was to write a book one day. Recently I haven't had much time to write as much as I used to, but it's definately something I want to pick up again. I'll write and write and write to keep developing my own personal writing style..because there's something about the reflective nature of writing that is so tangible, enlightening and challenging.

  1. i've recently been thinking about all of my life aspirations since i'm going off to university next year, and i've also started to entertain the idea of writing a book once again. what about? i have not a clue. but i think it would be good for the soul.
