Finally, some of shots using the Olympus PEN Ep-1! It took me a while to pick some pictures because the past week I've been going crazy with the camera. Literally taking photos of everything and anything. I'll eventually share more, but for now I thought I'd share these shots in keeping with the name of this blog - yes, purple :)

At the moment I'm especially in love with the pin hole effect and pale light effect. My shots aren't the best quality but I'm sure it'll improve with practice. We shall see where this venture leads me. Life has brought along some challenges lately but taking photos has allowed me to temporarily detach myself from the situation and relax - letting loose creativity is an excellent de-stresser.

Thanks to the Ekka show the largest annual event in Brisbane, fellow Brisbanites and I enjoy a day off tomorrow. Of course people like me take the day not to go to the Ekka but to do other stuff. Belated cleaning, lunching at friend's houses, and taking shots using my new toy....the Olympus Pen EP-1! A friend of a friend was selling theirs which was in mint condition for a great price so I couldn't resist. Yayness. I'm still yet to play around with all the features but I'm enjoying the process.

p.s - I love my digital olympus camera to bits but am thinking of upgrading to a micro 4/3 camera so I can use more effects. Perhaps I should be loyal to Olympus and get an Olympus PEN micro 4/3? I love the clean white design of this one:
